ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND DEDICATION



We dedicated our work in saving komodo dragon in memory of Bai Ibrihim who was a core member of the Komodo dragon field research team since 2002. Bai was instrumental in many aspects of our research. He was remarkable in the field and essentially taught us how to hand capture big dragons. Bai had a brain that was like a GPS and was able to find his way back to camp no matter how lost everyone else became. Most of all Bai worked like 2 men and had a great joy for hard work which was infectious on the rest of us. He had a great sense of humor and a hearty laugh that always lifted our spirits. He will be dearly missed by one and all. Thank you for everything Bai.
